Born & raised in South Central Los Angeles, Keno Steven Neal [he/him] is a former foster youth who began pursuing his love for storytelling at the age of 14. Using highly limited resources, he developed and mastered the art of DIY filmmaking, expanding his creative canvass across multiple styles and genres. In later years, he turned his passion for the creative arts to higher education at Santa Monica College, where he studied U.S & international film history, screenwriting + film production for 2 years. During his academic tenure, he took interests in key leadership roles as an administer of the school's film club, a film festival co-director and a variety of other extracurricular activities. Outside of school he has also served as a seasonal assistant director, production assistant + camera operator at the Los Angeles Acting Studio in North Hollywood.

Keno is currently an emerging independent writer + director w/ recent experience and memberships to organizations such as Group Effort Initiative (GEI) & Film Independent.​​
